Thank you all for coming over to Houston and spending a few unforgettable hours together with us. We all have been looking forward to this moment for a long time, and Xiaosha and I want to let you know that we enjoyed each minute of it. To us, it is a reunion of close friends after 20 years of separation - a moment of historical importance (in our lifes) filled with sweet happiness and unbearable sadness. On that day, we were again immersed in our memory of youth and in our friendship that started in a magic place called Jida and lasted all these years. Endless memories of unbounded hope and promises, laughters filled between times of intense studies, and occasional glimpse (most of times only side way) of our beautiful classmates on campus - those intellectually formative years that defined who we are today. BL's flash with photos of 79 Physics classmates, supported with carefully selected music, highlighted the common thread that tied us all together. Looking at these pictures, I cannot help but feel the urge to touch each of those beautiful faces. And we were young, and when we were young, everything was beautiful!
Thank you also for the beautiful Roses and the sweet Moon Cakes. I am sure you will be happy to learn that Xiaosha finished almost half of the box just by herself.
It was a beautiful moment and it is in these moments that life become meaningful and bearable. Thank you, my dear friends, for giving us that moment.
