今天读了一个short story by William Faulkner.后面附有他的acceptance speech
upon receiving the Nobel Prize, titled the Human Heart in Conflict with Itself.
读后有些感悟。其中有一句话说的很eloquent: It is his (referring to a poet or
a writer) priviledge to help man endure by lifting his heart, by reminding
him of thecourage and honor and hope and pride and compassion and pity and
sacrifice which has been the glory of his past.
我对能够以文字做到这一点的人有一种特殊的敬仰。
