These are all about color space.

In ACDSee, under Tools, click on "options", it'll pop up a window for color management. Check what Profiles it is using. In my case, it shows "sRGB Color Space Profile.icm". With the pulldown menu of this, you may select any other from the list.

In PS, under Edit, there is "Color Settings", which allows you to set customized color space. In my home computer, I prefer using ProPhoto RGB, and this will differ dramatically from most of the image viewers'. It is just good for me to control printing. And in my office computer, the PS is set using "sRGB IEC61966-2.1", which seems to be quite compatible with ACDSee's profile. Thus no big difference.

This web server does not take picture file directly and everyone seems to post pictures somewhere else and then "drag" the URL to it. That's means we are viewing pictures on this Forum through other server and image database system. Usually different image database system was adjusted or configured by its own DBA. The color space then differs from system to system, or even from time to time.

Now, if all these color spaces are different, your pictures become fickle by changing their face color from one place to another :)

I've been having headache for such an issue all the times. Usually we have to lower our expectation for submitting photos to the web :< by using the most regular color space such as sRGB for your editing software. Once it yields a "good looking picture", it'll be OK when you submit it to the web.
