after long and occassionally heated discussions with people, who refer themselves as "right and independent", on gun control, tax, "innovation", healthcare, trickle-down economy, job creators, incentives, ..., and life, I feel this incidence is a step ahead of what they espouse, but by no means a big step.
it takes a society, not a people, to make this incidence happen. nothing to be embarrassed about the particular people.
I am unable to describe how much I feel for the parents. it is ineffable.
rest in peace little girl. this world is too cruel to linger on. through your tragedy, you touched so many people at their inner-most tenderness, and brought us back a flash of the humanity is still somewhere, though buried, still somewhere.
