The comments on Gen. Zhang were basically irrelevant and I really did not want to waste time to comment on the comments. Well, if you want more, here they are:
1. Gen. Zhang had nothing to do with Mao's doctrine of "The Party is in control of the army." I wonder if the writer had any knowledge as to who Gen. Zhang is.
2. Gen. Zhang should be viewed (as any historical figures) in the large context of the Modern Chinese history. Does the writer really think that we had a constitutional government back then? Am I to understand that there was democracy at that time and Gen. Zhang was just the head of a military coup d'etat? The comments on "constitutionalism" were entirely illogical and totally disregarding the basic historic facts.
There can be more, but don't get me started!
Based on these, I would like the writer to "go home" and study the history (don't you know that "looking after your babies" is a Dongbei slang, meaning, to put it bluntly, "you're ignorant about this topic"?)
Yours respectfully,
Lao Dongbei
