One month ago, I went hiking with my family and some friends. My family and I woke up in the morning and started packing. When finished, we brushed our teeth and ate breakfast. Then we hopped into the car. When we finally got to the campsite, I was so excited that I felt like hopping out of the car even though the car was still moving.
“Whoo hoo!” I yelled. “I’m free!” I rushed out of the car and met my friends. Then Christina, one of my best friends, and I went looking around the campsite for things. It was really fun. Then the grownups yelled, “Time to go hiking!” “Yes!” I yelled. We ran up the hill, went into the car, drove to the trail and started hiking. My friend’s brother named Ethan kept running in front of me. Then I finally ran in front of him because he was too tired.
I was so tired I couldn’t feel my legs, but I knew I was almost there. I kept walking and then I saw light! Then I started running until I got there. “I’m made it!” I screamed. I ran to the log until the other people got there. “ I got here first!” I yelled proudly. Then we started going back down. When I saw the road, I ran as fast as I could. “I’m there” I yelled as soon as I got to the car. Then when the other people arrived, we drove back to the campsite. I was really proud to be the first person to finish hiking.
