Usually, people are not clear on this. They think the pray to God is asking God to take some kind of action. For example, the forgiveness of God. This is a great mistake! However, this mistake is the foundation of the Christian believe.
From life facts, people observed that rich getting richer, even though the means to get richer may not “Good”. Why God did not do something?
Countless innocent babies die for nothing, why God did not do something?
Christian invented “sin” theory. But frankly, I do not see innocent babies has anything to do with it.
Do not see actions of God during their life time (God cannot do that as I have argued that there is only one way communication), people imaged that God will do something on the soul (After one is dead.) Ones soul may go heaven or to hell depends on the deeds.
But, after death is even harder to discuss.
Confucius is much smarter. He said: if you do not understand life, how can you understand death?
He said: Maybe there is God and ghost, you should respect them, but you should keep a distance from them, because you will certainly get confused. (Because you even cannot understand much simpler side: life!)
