I wouldn't say what XS did is rational, she's probably already realized that. In fact the first messenger who shoot the photo and showed it around is also a Jia-Yang-Guizi, a Da-Gou-Tuo from U of T:-))), so you can see that not all of us are that thoroughly washed in this culture:-).
I hope when you get a chance maybe you could take some time to understand XS, by reading her stories, then it should be quite obvious to you why she's reacted that way (again, I wouldn't approve the languages, but I could understand her frustration).
