老椰子曾经要拉拉写西班牙见闻
今天拉拉收到我们那位在土耳其一所大学做教授的吉大校友的伊妹儿．
正好可以做为拉拉准备写的西班牙见闻的导言．现将他的伊妹儿抄
录如下．
Hi, Lala:
How are you? Have you returned to the daily routine
after the European trip?
After we said good-bye in Barcelona, I went to Madrid
for a weekend to see museums and galleries. After
visitingthe three most famous galleries, I checked out from my
hotel, and had the last bus tour of the city. It was
Sunday afternoon. In the passage-way across a main
street connecting two other museums, I was suddenly
attacked from behind by two or three robbers. They
held my neck, and I had to struggle to breathe. People
in front and behind me ran away with screams. I lost
everything I had, passport, credit cards, cash,camera,
driving license,.... Fortunately I was not
seriously hurt; they only kicked me at my stomach and
my left thigh before they ran away. It was done within
two minutes; they were very professional. After that
it was another 48 hours of uncertainty: the police
were not helpful at all, the emergency cash help from
my bank through the credit card company was delayed, I
had absolutely nothing to prove my identity in Chinese
Embassy, etc.. I decided to fly to Barcelona and
Malaga because I had one bag in the locker at a
Barcelona railway station, and had a luggage in the
house of my Spanish friends near Malaga. I got the
proof of who I am at last. The ordeal was just like a
nightmare. But I am luckier than many others; I was
told that such things happen in Madrid everyday, and
some cases are more violent.
In any case, I hope life will return to normal for me
in a week or two.
