Interesting paper. M & B for me. Recently I attended a training course "ARE YOU LISTENING OR JUST HEARING ME". Try this: if you are listening to a speaker, pay attention to your own reaction. See how frequently you nod to the speaker and sometimes you don’t mean a YES, or AGREED, but simply show the politeness. It says that Asians intend to do this much more than Western people. It can be misleading the communication in many cases. Best suggestion according to the trainer: nod consciously instead of automatically.
