Hi, this is Amy. I’m very happy because I just got a female hamster named Chitter. 

The reason my mom bought me a hamster was because I have always wanted a dog. How-
ever, my mom wouldn’t buy me one because she is sacred of dogs and my brother is 
allergic to them. She told me to buy a dog when I’m older, but I couldn’t wait 
that long so my mom bought me a hamster instead. It was Chitter!

If you’re wondering what kind of hamster she is, the answer is a Cinnamon Dwarf. 
Cinnamon Dwarves are tan with a brown line on their backs. When Chitter sleeps, 
she looks like a big, round, and furry ball. Therefore, her nickname is furball.

Chitter is nocturnal, meaning that she sleeps during the day and works, plays, and
eats during the night. Once, Chitter even made her own obstacle course. She began 
by running on her wheel. Then she went through the tunnel and after that she used 
the ladder to stand up. Then she did it all over again.
