We were aggressors and committed atrocities as well some times in the history, such as the invasions to Korea and Vetnam. At some point, one just have to forgive.
sure. our resourceful atrocities towards our own people and other people may be on par or just a tad shy of those gifts from our cross strait neighbor.
however,
1. we acknowledge our crimes, or at least, we don't deny with a grave and innocent face. and for our barbaric past, the victims would probably be just as barbaric, given the appropriate military superority.
2. whether they forgive us is up to them. we don't try to convince them that it has reached that time that they should let go of what we have done to them.
neither of these can be said of the current Japanese government. I don't think I have reached the point to forgive. I am willing to forgive, but I need a reason.
