Good questions. I haven't crossed papers about why it is a 30-day cycle but not the others (somebody must have done research on it though). I think the length of the cycle will change when we move to another planet. I cannot give you scientific evidence, but at least the cycle, which is determined by hormonal (levels of estrogen and progesterone) change can be influenced by mood and emotion. Actually, scientists should design an experiment based on your question. They can send women to the moon next time to compare the length of cycle. The drawback of this experiment is that there will be no significant statistical value (the number of people can be carried to the moon is not large enough). Do you remember a high school teacher was going to land on the moon many years ago? However, she did not make it due to the explosion, otherwise she could tell us something.
