回答: should the meaning of life depend on the existence of God? 由 morningstar 于 August 08, 2002 12:25:19:

You can certainly argue that one should be able to
find his own version of life's meaning without ever
resorting to the concept of God, but in reality such
an objective is virtually impossible to achieve if
the path to pursue the altimate truth is given only
in terms of abstract mathematics models which claims
to be devoid of any goals or peuposes. In other
words, the pursuit of "meaning" will inevitablely
lead to the tasks of contemplating the purposes of
life, nature, and the cosmos, and the probability of
a Creator, or the concept of God, to borrow a phrase
from YiLiao. And one just has to face such tasks if
the pursuit is deep and thorough.

Without purpose, no meaning to speak of.

We are all raised to think that the scientific view
of the world is the only correct view. Unfortunately,
science has been in fact providing only arbitrary and
limited models of reality. And reality is always far
greater than anyone could possibly conceive.
